Alicia Kaye Pouncey, lovingly known as "Momma" and "Meme," passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Alicia was born on June 14, 1971, to Marilyn and Butch Armitage of Shepherd, Texas, who preceded her in death. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose love, laughter, and unforgettable personality touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Alicia was strong, loving, and full of life. She made the courageous and peaceful decision to go be with the Lord, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that her family will cherish forever.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Alan Cooper. 

Alicia is survived by her three children: Joe Pouncey III and his wife, Sonya Pouncey; Christopher Pouncey; and Samantha Nunez and her husband, Jeremy Spurlock.

Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren: Cassiddi, Serenity, Easton, Jayden, Brycen, Makalyn, Nariah, Lakelyn, and Joshua. Each of them held a special place in Meme's heart, and the love she gave them will continue to live on through them.

She is also survived by her brother, Michael Armitage.

Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn and Butch Armitage.

Momma's life was a gift to everyone who knew her. She leaves behind more than memories—she leaves behind pieces of herself in every person she loved, every lesson she taught, every laugh she shared, and every moment she made unforgettable.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Momma is now at peace and has gone home to be with the Lord. We can picture her dancing in the sky, singing in the angels' choir, free from pain and surrounded by the glory of Heaven.

Her family will carry her love, her strength, her laughter, and her goofy spirit with them for the rest of their lives.

Fly high, Momma. You were loved beyond measure, and you will be missed beyond words. Until we meet again.
