Angie Denise Jones, age 65, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on May 29, 2026, at AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, GA.
Angie was born on September 22, 1960. She was a devoted wife for 25 years and cherished her family above all else. She was blessed with two children and seven grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to her life.
Angie enjoyed flowers, gardening, dancing, and listening to Elvis Presley. She worked for many years at Edna's in Chatsworth and was known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and love of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert and Kathleen Elizabeth Godfrey; in laws, Edward Doyal Jones and Yasuko (Ruth) Jones; brother, Anthony Godfrey; brothers-in-law, James F. Crowe, Jimmy J. Jones, and Jerry Patterson; and, sister-in-law, Kathy Jones.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mike Jones; her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Amy of Chatsworth GA; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Bo of Cherry Log, GA; and her beloved grandchildren, Lucas, Grayson, Lilly, Preston, Wyatt, Benjamin, and Carter.
She is also survived by her siblings: sisters, Becky Crowe and Tammy Caldwell; brother, Terry Godfrey; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Shelia Godfrey—all of Chatsworth GA; brother, Eugene, and sister-in-law, Tammy Godfrey from Benton, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and David Holbrook of Jasper GA; in-laws, Lori Jones of Wilmington, NC, Bobby Jones of Blairsville, GA, Tammy Patterson of North Carolina, Mary and Jim Bryant of Chatsworth. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Special thank-you’s are extended to Kathy Worley and David and Kathy Stien for their friendship and support to Angie and the family, to Carltons Pharmacy in Chatsworth, and to Scruffy, her four-legged companion.
A celebration of Angie's life will be announced at a later date.
Though she is gone from our sight, Angie will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
