It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt respect that we announce the passing of Dakota Scott Millican, who departed this life on June 4, 2026, in Lafayette, Georgia. Born on July 28, 1999, in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia, Dakota was a cherished son, brother, and friend, known for his gentle spirit and the warm affection he inspired in those around him.
Dakota graduated from Alexandria High School in 2017, a milestone marking his dedication and commitment to his education. Throughout his life, he found joy in music and was an avid admirer of Anime, passions that brought color and vibrancy to his days and connected him to a wider community who appreciated his enthusiasm and zest for life.
He was very loved by his family, whose lives were profoundly enriched by his kind nature and gentle presence. Dakota is survived by his father, Christopher Scott Millican, and stepmother, Misty Millican; his mother, Jamie Hilburn; his siblings Devan Millican, Kaleb Millican, Levi McFry, and Blakely Folds; his aunt Christy Hilburn; and his cousin Malisha Snow. These family members celebrate Dakota’s life and will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
He also joins those who have gone before him, including Debbie Campbell, Scott Millican, Doris Jones, and Opal Hilburn. Their memories remain a vital part of his story and the fabric of his family’s heritage.
Dakota Scott Millican will be remembered as a young man whose life, though too brief, was marked by heartfelt connections and sincere bonds. He will be missed profoundly by all who loved him and whose lives he touched so deeply.
