Dana Joel Freeman, age 73, of Dalton, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Josephine Freeman.

A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Joey was a 1970 graduate of Sherman High School in Seth, West Virginia. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, Joey worked faithfully as an electrician until his retirement, serving numerous companies within the Dalton area carpet industry.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kasey and Casey Jones, and their children, Veyda, Molly, and Wyatt; his son and daughter-in-law, Toy and Nikki Freeman, and their daughter, Lorna; his siblings, Taylor Freeman, Lynn Freeman, and Julianna Freeman; special loved ones, Kara and Jonathan Bennett, and their children, Payslei, Brooklyn, and Bodie; and special friend, Dede Dills.

A Celebration of Life Fellowship Meal will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Friends may drop by between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to share memories and offer comfort to the family. Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church is located at 202 South Cherry Street, Tunnel Hill, GA.
