Enid Kay Welch passed away peacefully in Ellijay, Georgia, on the 14th of January 2026. Enid was born on the 1st of September 1943, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Edna (Payne) Heitz.

Enid shared 63 years of marriage with her beloved husband Dan, and together they cultivated a family that anchored her life with love. She is survived by her sister Linda Heitz, her children Monica (Mark) Lee and Amber (Russ) Hester, granddaughters, Ashley (Scott) Larsen, Marissa (Bryan) Riddle, Chelsea (Anderson) Brett, and Morgan (Jacob) Raines, and four great grandchildren. She cherished every moment she spent with her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by husband, Dan, sister, Mary Ruby, and brothers Raymond Heitz, Bernard Heitz, and Robert Heitz.

Enid spent most of her career as a realtor for Mel Foster Realty, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island, Illinois. Enid enjoyed shopping, dining, and vacationing with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in her hometown of Moline at a date to be announced.
