Gordon Allen Pryor (Gordie), 65, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at his Dalton, Georgia home. Gordie was born in Sandusky, Michigan on February 17, 1961. He is the son of Patsy Lou Montgomery Frey (Alfred Frey). He served in the Air Force where he was stationed at Homestead Air Force Base. After the military he worked in the electrical field as a lineman and superintendent. He then moved on to work for the Government in the Florida National Parks where he was as a boat mechanic. Gordie loved the water and fishing and the woods and hunting. He was loved by his pets, family, and friends, and he loved them also. He spent a lot of his time with his dogs and grandbabies. He would often say, “I wish I had my grandbabies first.”
Gordie had three children with Marie K. Sheridan: Andrew Joseph Pryor, Andrea Lois Pryor (Wayne), and Patsy Marie Pryor (Esteban), and a nephew who was like a son, Jason Neil Pryor (Cassandra). He left behind nine grandchildren: Nicole M. Pryor, Sandra E. Frey, Wayne M. Frey, Amiyah S. Manzano, Jeremiah A. Manzano, Blake A. Pryor, Tyler J. Pryor, Mariah L. McCain and Alexandra A. Frey, and two great grandchildren, Dominic A. Salvatore, and D’Andre W. Salvatore.
He is survived by his siblings, Christine A. Adams, Cherry L. Morris Franchetti (Roland), William R. Pryor (Waneta), Cheryl A. Zielke (Norm), Lori H. Pryor (Rodney) and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his beloved mother, Patsy Lou Montgomery Frey (Alfred Frey), sister Denise M. Leach, brother-in-law Bruce Adams, grandson Andrew Allen Pryor, and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, December 27, 2026, from 3pm-8pm at the Moose Lodge, 15490 SW 288 Street, Homestead, Florida.
