IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Edward
Tumlin
March 24, 1960 – November 9, 2025
James Edward "Eddie" Tumlin, 65, passed away peacefully at his home on November 9, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Born on March 24, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia, Eddie was the son of the late James and Virginia Tumlin. He grew up in Forest Park, GA, where he learned the value of hard work, family, and living life with a full and generous heart.
Eddie shared 36 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Beth Tumlin. Together, they built a life rich in love, resilience, and laughter. They raised three children: Steven (who preceded him in death), Brittney, and Eddie II ("Little Eddie"), who were the pride of his life. Eddie was also the beloved grandfather of Landon, Margaret, Dougie, Bristol, and Connor, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.
He is survived by his brother, Lamar Harris, along with many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him deeply.
Throughout his lifelong career, Eddie was known across the auto industry for his exceptional paint and repair work. His craftsmanship, dedication, and easygoing spirit made him not only a trusted professional, but a true friend to many.
Outside of work, Eddie's greatest passion was American Flat Track racing. He spent countless years on the track, fueled by adrenaline, determination, and the simple thrill of doing what he loved most. Racing wasn't just a hobby—it was a piece of his soul, and he embraced every moment of it.
Eddie faced his battle with cancer the same way he lived his entire life: with high spirits, unwavering strength, and a wonderfully fun, vibrant personality that uplifted everyone around him. His humor, warmth, and love for his family will forever be remembered.
Eddie was deeply loved, and he will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
