Shane Bruce Yates, 46, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on July 26, 2026. He was born on November 20, 1979, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Shane was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the memories he created with those closest to him, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of everyone who knew him. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be cherished forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Bruce Yates, his mother/stepdad, Russell and Helen Dring, his beloved in-laws, Paul and Pat Davidson, and brother David Yates.

Shane is survived by his loving wife, Mandy Yates; his son, Hayden Yates; his daughter, Hayla Yates; his brothers, Tommy Yates (Sonja) and Willie Yates; his sisters, Melissa Lenjani (Pep) and Brigette West (Ronnie). Shane is also survived by his brothers-in-law, John (Sarah) Davidson and Jamie (Alice) Davidson, and his sister-in-law Jennifer Davidson, along with many other cherished family members and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

A memorial service celebrating Shane’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Face Baptist Church. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. The service will be officiated by Chuck Harmon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rocky Face Baptist Church.
