Walter Thomas Gaddis, 82, of Chatsworth, GA, passed away at his home on Friday,

August 1, 2025. Mr. Gaddis was born in Dalton, GA, on April 16, 1943, to the late Joseph James

Crawford Gaddis and Martha Elizabeth Smith Gaddis. In addition to his parents,

he is also preceded in death by his wife, Trula Fay Bartley Gaddis.

Mr. Gaddis is survived by his five children: Walter Thomas Gaddis, of Chatsworth, GA;

Michael Wayne Gaddis (Emily) of Summerville, GA; Beverly Lynn Stewart (Gene

Blackburn) of LaFayette, GA; Danny Lee Stewart (Leslie) of Wellston, OK; and Lori

Ballew (Chris) of Adairsville, GA; His seven (7) grandchildren: Derek Gaddis, Sarah

Wilson, Meghan Herbal, Olivia Bearden, Ashley Jain, Isaiah Ray, Brock Ballew, and Forrest Williams;

and seven (7) great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Prior to moving to Chatsworth to live with his son, Mr. Gaddis lived for many years in

Cartersville, GA, where he worked as Maintenance Supervisor for New Riverside

Ochre.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
