William Fred Henderson, age 67, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on October 5, 2025.

Born on February 12, 1958, in Manhattan, KS, William was raised in Clayton, GA, and graduated from Rabun County High School in 1976. He spent the majority of his adult life in Dalton, GA, where he was a beloved middle school teacher and a cherished member of the community. In 2025, he retired to Cartersville, GA, drawn by his deep love for the North Georgia mountains.

A passionate sports enthusiast, William was a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons. He held season tickets for many years and especially enjoyed attending games with his family. Beyond sports, he found joy in fishing, barbecuing, and reading newspapers and comic strips daily. Above all, William treasured time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ted Henderson and Louise Zoellner Henderson.

William is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Jan McCuiston Henderson; his daughter and son- in-law, Patty Henderson Westmoreland and Bates Westmoreland of Alpharetta, GA; his son, Will Henderson of Dalton, GA; his brothers, Marty Henderson of Tiger, GA, and Tim Henderson of Clayton, GA; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 18, 2025, from 3pm-5pm at the Miracle League Field at Westside Park located at 1519 Mount Vernon Road, Rocky Face, GA 30740.
